Rowan Preparatory School in Claygate provides individual tuition to girls from Year 1 through to Year 6.
Andrew joined the peripatetic music staff at Rowan in 2008. Initially only teaching one-to one, the work has grown to encompass a String Initiative offering tuition to all Year 1 pupils; coaching the String Quartet; forming a Cello Ensemble and performing at events such as the Carol Service and Annual Awards.
Past pupils have won awards to Sir William Perkins, Chertsey and to Tormead, Guildford.
A current Year 5 pupil, who has already undertaken Grade 5 ABRSM, is attending the Oxford Cello School for the first time.
Your patience, skill and fun approach to teaching has instilled in E. a confidence in her ability. At no point has E. ever doubted her own capabilities, even when faced with new pieces to learn and this is due in large part to your encouragement and consistency. E. Has gained a life long love of music.
