Andrew studied the Cello at Trinity College of Music before freelancing both in the UK and abroad. Andrew became Principal Cello of D’Oyly Carte Opera and toured extensively with them as well as undertaking long seasons in many London theatres. He also enjoys working in smaller ensembles and co-founded the duo ‘Two Cellos’ with musical partner Chris Hurn. This collaboration led to the creation of a further ensemble ‘The Thames Trio’.
Andrew currently holds two major teaching posts in the London area in addition to his private teaching.
Away from the Cello, Andrew is a passionate cyclist, Francophile, and amateur cook.
